Thanks! With this first firing of my kiln I mapped it so I know what to expect next firing. There was one pot with an amazing glaze, unfortunately the bottom cracked. I plan on fixing the crack with some epoxy and keeping it for myself. I still need to sort through the pots, take pics, set prices, and make the tomobako's......almost there.Congratulations my friend.
A normal person might consider taking a break.
Thanks! I can tell you there was a lot of erasing and wiping off the glaze to get them to look right. It's not easy at all. I definitely give credit to any westerner that can write kanji. The calligraphy really looks good for a westerner. This is something I always intended to do but never got a round tuit. I even took some workshops in it but never found the time to follow through.
I've been cleaning up the barn for your arrival. Clean up one mess only to make another. The cycle of life! Looking forward to seeing you and your pots up close and personal. Thanks! That's sweet! Imagine when that little trunk starts to get the flaky bark roses get.
I really love that glaze. It's different and hard to capture how it really looks in a picture. I only did one pot with that glaze this batch.

Looks like I'm setting up the hoop house tonight and moving plants around again. That's cool. Keep it if you like it. And being a gentleman I will defer to Carol if you sell it.
But I am next in line.
Gotta go buy some foam insulation now. Calling for mid 20s Sunday and Monday nights.
