The basement was extra cold this winter. They didn't grow as well as when it's warmer down here. But they didn't stop growing either, just really slowly. I put some guy wires on the bigger one back in December. I'll probably let it keep going through spring and do a good cutback in early summer.
The little one probably needs to be repotted this year. Same deal otherwise. And I'm considering removing one or 2 major branches in this smaller one, because even though each primary branch is separated by at least one node, it's beginning to look a little congested.
I also need to take some vinegar and a toothbrush to the trunks this spring, got some water scale going on.

I've been happy building these little guys. The branching is very predictable, they have never given me pest or fungal issues, seems like as long as they don't freeze, they're fool proof.
Perfect for me.
