Getting started up. This year has been a terrible acorn year, I found just 6 or 7 living acorns.
I have planted them, but will go out looking again, so just a placeholder, more later.

Two pots with acorns. Layered them with ~4 acorns per layer, with a half inch of substrate between layers. Watered and covered with my @copyright mice-protection system.
Lets see what lives till spring. The acorns were all of mwa quality.

Usually my driveway is filled with acorns, this year has been very poor so far indeed...
I found 8 Monterey Oaks near my job.. only 1 had acorns. I'm seeing the same with others while I'm out hunting for trees with acorns. Some are producing while others are not in same area

Winter turns to spring and I took a peek in the big pot. Some of them were popping roots, so planting out time..
