Leaf scorch on Japanese Maple (mild weather)

I do have a Snakebark Maple that is doing great, but it has very large leaves and long internodes.

Off topic sorry. Have you tried it in a shallow pot and really working the tree? I have snake bark and am having relatively good results with selective pruning.

No, not yet! It's still a baby and has a couple more years at least to grow out.

I am glad to hear those issues are manageable though!

Here is a pic from April, but it's not a good one and only shows the leaves.
