Juniper Bark Falling Off

Hello everyone. I'm having a little problem with a Green Mound Juniper. I've had the tree for about 6 weeks. I had a small branch towards the bottom of the tree turn brown, and I noticed that part of the bark had fallen off somehow (first picture). I trimmed it off thinking it may have been damage during shipment. But then I noticed about a week later another branch with the same issue (second and third pictures). Now a third branch seems to be starting to have the same problem. All three of the branches were located on the lowest limb of the tree. Any ideas? Also, I live in central MS. I water the tree every morning, and it gets about 6-7 hours of sunlight a day. Thanks!

John? there is a good chance it's Juniper Twig Girdler an insect larvae. There is also a chance it's mechanical. Such as, a label left on to long or a number of things. There's nothing that can be done for the branch but look closely for any other possible damage.

That's weird. Is the bark falling off? Or is it disappearing?
