So far not to bad in San Antonio yet had a little wind this evening, but hasnt been overly hot yet. They get morning sun until around 12:30 thwn the sun goes to the back side of the house, which i thought was percect until they settled inBare-rooting pine seedlings should not be an issue, though it is kind of late in the season (even up here). The issue might be keeping them protected from too much sun/wind/heat until they get established. What kind of conditions are they in?
In the first picture, it looks like the tree is suffered from the fungal disease, but I am not so sure because I did not see the needles well enough (if you can take a picture of needle in close up, it will be helpful for making proper diagnosis). I think there is something to do with the way you water the tree. The new growth is looking good.
