A Bonsai Landscape AKA"Penjing", I call it the Maple Grove.
It measures 24"Wx16"Dx24"H & it takes 2 people to handle, I have been Designing, Building, Growing it for 3 1/2 years, It is comprized of 13 Japanese Maple of various Sub Cultures, it has varied ground cover and 3 Monks pondering the Trump Presidency... it is still a Work in Progress, I will be adding ground cover & a few more Maples in 2017, its heading for the garage in 2-3 weeks...Comments are welcomed...

My second picture is to give a look thru the setting to get a better feel for the depth & height of the ground...

You have created an enjoyable little scene. I think if next year you were to add some different sized trunks, it will add some extra interest. Good work, I like the elevation change in the design!

I love the first pic/view a lot. Unfortunately that is an odd way to view bonsai (from slightly above). I like the placement you have so far but I think a few lower branches would help everything when viewed from the front. That's easier said then done, now it would probably require grafting. BUT this is just my two green cents. Also appreciate the use of the mud men, I may pick up a few myself.

I'm having a little dejavu moment Bolero!

The above Penjing with some changes...
