My in-laws had one that was too heavy to move in and out anymore, so they gave it me.

Took the better part of 4 hours to separate, and a couple need a bit more branch selection, but I'm too tired now...

I've grown Crassula ovata for years, made dozens of cuttings, it's such an esay plant to reproduce.

But so far, i've given up the idea of making a Crassula a "bonsai"
100% agree. Best way to make a "bonsai" from it, is to plant it in a pot and leave it....it'll make itself into a "bonsai" in time.

Here are a couple of mine. The first picture is a two trunked big boy, and the second a cool almost clump style. They were both in my in-laws house for years and grew to the size they were being exclusively inside. They were moving and brought them to me and I let the large one be outside all season and the transformation it underwent was stunning. I genuinely feel bad it has had to come in for the winter and I worry about it regressing. What it looked like before is pictured below. I didn’t trim anything just all the new foliage came out and I wound up removing a lot of the indoor leaves. The second had grown super leggy being indoors and towards the end of the season I cut it back hard leaving a few less leggy branches with their leaves. It has started its comeback but had to come inside with nighttime temps dropping. Still shuffling when I can but will be inside for good soon. All the cuttings are progressing as well.

First frosts : -2°C and not much more in the afternoon (+4°C) in the past two days : just brought the bigger ones inside, no photos yet.
Next two weeks should be without frost, might bring them back outside...

Here are some massive Jade cuttings I am trying to root. My parents were doing some landscaping and they were set to tear out the 40+ year old jade I had grown up with. I decided to try and save it, but the roots were way under the cement, so cuttings were the only option:

I've rooted many jade cuttings, but nothing even close to this size, so no idea if this will work. Wish me luck!

These rooted with no issues, the biggest one is even flowering, despite being in the shade most the year! Not sure what I will do from here, any ideas?
