After a bit of an adventure with UPS, this arrived today. I got it from a fellow BNut member, Ris, via the Bonsai Classifieds page on facebook (if you haven't tried it yet, I highly encourage you to give it a look). Anyway, I wanted to share with you guys a couple quick photographs that I took before I was chased back inside by the mosquitoes. I'm excited about this tree.

Nice tree man! As much as I love the smooth red bark of some finished junipers, I hope you keep this trunk as is. As my eye traveled from the base on up, I thought it was a pine until I got to the foliage.

Cheers,
B

I'm curious as to why it does not have the typical shimpaku red bark? Is that red bark just under the gray flakey bark? Awesome tree!

The bark needs to be cleaned. Plus the seller is from CA, their water leaves calcium deposits.
