I bought this tree from the pittsburg nursery and planted it outside "in a pot" for a while and the needles started to fade so i took it inside because of the heavy rain we have been getting, my concern is it already dead

I don't think it has roots!
They just glued a branch in a pot!
It happens !

Does the tree have roots for sure?

it has a decent "root ball" but i did the scratch test on the trunk and it wasnt totally green, i just dont know i thought i was doing everything right

Well for one thing right now that tray has too much water in it and it's sitting I'm water!

The glued rocks must come off btw.

I can't tell from that picture but feel the foliage. Is it dry and prickly and falls off easily or does it feel soft and spring to the touch?

Oh sorry, posted at same time.

Sad to say it's almost definently a goner then. Its what happened to my first one.

It should not be the color green, it should be bright white. Best thing to do is put it in the shade OUTSIDE and protected from too much rain and leave it alone, either too much light or too much water got it. It might come back, it may not.
