Introducing a New Elm......say Hello Corky.....

That's a great find! Now I kinda feel like i lost a day going on Friday verse Saturday.

Nice purchase! I love the corkers, and it is great that cuttings root super easy. Enjoy the growing season ahead.
Thanks dude!
Good call on cuttings.....I need to try some out.

So far I have a 100% failure rate with all cuttings but Portulacaria Afra.

Does that swollen part offer a place for a largish hole to go? It might work if judiciously carved.

This is kinda what I saw but the angle may not be right. Did you chop it beyond this pic I used for the virt?

Didn't chop at all, just cleaned up the old chops and dead wood.
There are 2 chops at the top.
I chewed them both back to live material then applied sealant.....we'll see what happens.

Hey! That's my name for ours. Told folks at work and they were laughing! ?

Summer time!....Humid and Hotter than hell! As usual in MD.....but my trees love it!

I've hedged this thing back several times since the previous post in May.
It grows like a weed!....or like an Elm!

Thinning and minor wire today.
