In search for dark bark!

Hi,

I started my interest in bonsai at the beginning of this year, so you could say I am rather new. Over the year, I ingested lots of new impressions through my local bonsai club, youtube and books. I realized that I like trees with craggy, dark bark the most. From the start, pines were a favourite of mine, but I am also fascinated by species like prunus mume or chojubai.



I am wishin to incorporate trees with bark that into my collection. What are other tree species with the darkest, craggiest bark that you know of?
