I have a couple little ones, I like them a lot. They bloom all summer, and grow like weeds, even in the winter. They have nice bark, mine are the weeping variety. Easy care, just don't let them dry out completely. They respond well to clip and grow.

Forgot to mention -

The Barbados / West Indian Cherry also at the height of
our dry season April / May will self defo;iate.
So you also have a second way of showing off your shrub.

It is a full sun, thirsty plant.
So we use the 1/3 - 5 mm silica based gravel, 1/3 crushed
5 mm earthenware brick [ porous ] and 1/3 aged compost;

Roots grow rapidly, and the above soil mix resists being crushed
and encourages fine roots.
In clay or clay type mixes, this shrub develops thick roots
rapidly.
House next door has one growing in the yard since 1960.
Supplies all the new seedlings.
Good Day
