Nice, I’ve found they are tough to find many photos of smaller trees. Thanks for sharingBy the way, I like to share this Huangshan pine with you. One of my friends sent me this picture. He told me that this tree was collected from the mountain. I love it.

I think he was speaking seedling cuttings as some do with jpbIf I was you, I would let them be alone until next Fall (in my climate). At that time, I would separate them, cut the rap roots, and place each one into the single 4” square pot. Good luck .

I know. I think he is talking about Kusida Matsuo’ s method. I can get the same result with cutting the tap root when the seedling is about 1 year old.I think he was speaking seedling cuttings as some do with jpb

Dayum... I'm ancient then.@Paul F wow you are old 47.....I’m only just about 46 still a young pup!!! LOL
I heard once one becomes ancient you start seeing rust stains in thy britches?.....Dayum... I'm ancient then.
LOL, I supposed that’s a good thing yes and I think that covers an assortment of things except tumors!!!I got my huangshan on last night.
I haven’t noticed too much shrinking, but my trunk is getting thicker. That’s good right?
Bummer!!!I think they all died, the needles all turned brown but I'll wait for final diagnosis
It’s not a Korean Black pine though closely related it’s also related to the Japanese Black pine. The Huangshan (Pine Pinus hwangshanensis) Huangshan pine, is a pine endemic to the mountains of eastern China. There are many slight differences between them and Black pines. Is this tree considered Korean Black pine or is that another?
I concur! Worth watching to prepare for the next phase of aging.Do your bones creek when you wake up in the morning? Hair growing out your ears? Junk shrinking? All these happen at 47... sorry, man........................................enjoy 46, its all down hill from there.
