Haven't a clue what this is..

The ones I see have both leaves.
About 8" trunks with berries. Need To confirm.

There is one on a baseball fence with those leaves about 1 1/2 in. You could get em down.

Supposed to root leg size cuttings.
I'm looking for an air layer.

Go for it!

How big are the big ones? Just trying to scale this one up its about 3 1/2 to 4 inches at the base

Cut them down out of powerlines at over 40 feet. The berries leave a purple stain on your co-workers shirt if you throw them hard enough. Hard to get out too. Great fun.

Disclaimer.

If it is not a mulberry, and you eat the fruits when it does, I am not responsible for your COrnus Foemina poo issue!

Definitely mulberry. Very vigorous and weedy. Also very variable in terms of leaf shape .

The lobed leaves ive noticed are either on young or recently hard pruned and the single lobe leaves ate on mature trees

All the seedlings I've had and see start with no lobed leaves.

But I do see adults with all 3. Or any combo.

Interesting.

I wonder if it's an adaptation to attract birds? Or not.

In fact the lobed leaves or not could be on the same branches.

I forgot that there is a wild mulberry (approx. 8' tall, 1/2' diameter trunk, giving berries) on the parking lot a of Starbucks around here. I saw it today and took a picture of a branch with both types of leaves with my phone but i don't know how to get this picture on my computer to post and only succeeded at setting it as my phone wallpaper... :)

Not to be confused with a gorilla and a mink.

An orangutan and a ferret.

Or a baboon and a Fisher.

All different trees.

I'm guessing you haven't done a Google image search for foemina yet?

How about that. Now i see he was not referring to the dogwood. ;) Results did return some very interesting 'bushes'

This prolific grower has managed to grow through my large holly bush every year and even stronger when I prune it back out of sight...

Any ideas as to what it could be ? Sorry the 3rd pic isn't so great, but hopefully from the leaf and bark someone can make an identification.

Check these out. First. I beleive this was a berry giver. 5 inch trunk.
6in leaves.
All three types of leaf!20150812_185908.jpg
Ha toes!

And the one in the fence. Always hacked. With 2inch leaves all or mostly lobed 3.

This got hacked this week. So I guess it's once a year.

I got permission to collect all these in this park. I got a sexy clump possibilty too! And a Hackberry in training.
