4th cutback on these. The raft style has been the least vigorous. Still getting long runners but not much vascular growth. I assume it’s the ground layer I’m doing.

Exactly the inspo! Though I should probably work on the trunk thicknesses a bit more.

I think I’ll attempt some wire on a few of the branches after all of the leaves are off

Slowly but surely with this little ROR. I think in another 3-5 years the thickness and age will be much more character filled.

Great to see an update to this thread. Siberians have a lot of interest for me as a beginner. Very available around here and hardy. I only have one potted at this point. Dug in early August because it was going to get chopped to the roots if I didn't. Hoping to build a few more boxes and collect a handful more this fall.
