I found this this morning...one of my larger Bigei ovals. I keep some of my nicer pots on top of this cabinet in my bedroom, maybe 6 feet of the ground. I also have a pic of the suspect. It's a good thing she's cute:(.

Sorry for your loss, your cat looks sorry too. (Why is it that cats always land on their feet but pots don't??

That cat must have been flying around the room to have knocked a pot off like that. What was the broken one worth ?

Cats!! Grrrrrrrrrrrr. Good for mice, thats about it. Sorry.

I paid $175 for it maybe 5 years ago. That was a good price then...Bigei (or the artist formerly known as Bigei) has retired, so these pots are no longer being made. I've seen the prices of Bigei pots being offered on ebay from sellars in Japan double in price over the last year.

Sorry for the loss of a great pot! Oh, and no cat is so cute to me as to justify the loss of your pot. Have to agree with Si.

Ouch!

I hope you secure the other pots...else some of them might follow and dive also...esp w/ the cat still around. ;)

BTW, I see you read Ludlum also. I've read all of his (original) books. Love d it so much that there are a few that I read in "one sitting"...other than eat and potty break (no sleep) LOL.

Nothin' a little duct tape can't fix.

I too am sorry for your loss though, that did look like a nice pot. If it happened to me, I'd probably be stupid enough to actually try to fix it, using glue though ;)

to clarify is the duct tape for the cat? :)

Sorry news Dave! Get some Blu tack, it's a putty like substance you attach on thepot to keep it from moving. Used the stuff all over my house in Berkeley as an preventative for earthquakes.Wipes off clean too.

Cats bad, pots good.

just sayin'...

Wow, is that yours Brian? That's one hell of a rifle! lol

Cute cat.....did you ever see Robert Stevens penjing in the broken pot?

Is that a Raynor front and center second pic? Lovely.

too bad about the bigei, I have one, and love it.

If you're gonna mix cats and bonsia, grow bigger trees, get bigger pots. If the feline can move the pot, your trees aren't large enough...;)

That WAS a nice pot! Arrrrgg! Kill that cat!

The cat belongs to my 10 year old son, and he adores her. Even though the cat is not my wife's nor my own favorite out of our pet menagerie, she's going nowhere anytime soon.

On a serious note, that sucks. I have 2 (small) Bigei pots, and just love the clay body on them. Those are some nice pots that remain!

Better to have the books piled up there and the pots behind glass, eh?

You, my friend, are more then welcome to try. I'll have it waiting for you the next time you're in the Atlanta area...it'll be in a brown paper bag on the floor in my garage:o.
