Real cacti are a very under appreciated addition to a garden. The flowers are incredible, and the shapes can really break up or accent the lines of a traditional garden scape.My saguaro is growing!

I started this guy from seed 20 years ago when my mother-in-law sent me some seed from their new home in Pheonix. I had it in Illinois for 10 years and now in Missouri for another 10. It looks out of place here...

I've wanted to cultivate a patch of prickly pear for years but haven't gotten around to it. Beautiful AND edible.
