Future show stopper-a journey begins

This is where I think I'm gonna go-I been toying around with ideas, and I like something like this best

I can tell why people like that but I really like the tall version for some reason, but compacting it is possible too

Well if you go with the taller and don't like it you know you can always make it shorter. Hard to regrow the trunk. The only issue I have with the taller version is the dove breast that causes the abrupt change in direction. Just my 2 cents for what it is worth. I haven't had the opportunity of keeping a collected juniper like this alive after collection yet. Very nice material to work on. Good luck

Your virt is very nice too don't get me wrong! but it's funny that everyone has a different eye for things(I'm more of an abstract guy) and I like the change in direction and the height. BUT I like exploring all the options since I have some time.

Honest I like taller as well! The trick for you pulling it off will be pad size and placement which over time will take place. I am hoping to find one similar to that with a lot of dead wood at the base - even longer. I have a presentation idea stuck in my head I will try first on a rather large Wisteria that I am leaving a lot of the gnarly long branches at the base, and would like to try the same with a plant like yours. Hope it all pans out for you as that is a very good start!

Absolutely. Either way I am jealous that I don't have this on my bench! Good luck with it!
