Freak snow!

We get snow, from time to time. But usually not 5 inches!

It’s not that cold, about 34 degrees.

What usually happens is the snow stops, then we get warmer, light rain, that freezes on top of the snow, making a light, fluffy snow into a hard crust on top that can persist for days. Well, to prevent that, I waited until it appeared the snow was about to stop, and blew the snow off with my battery leaf blower.

I left snow around the pots. It acts as insulation.

Still snowing there now? It's funny because I'm down in NC for the weekend again and left plenty of snow behind but there's no sign of it here. I did get to grab a couple of pictures coming through the foothills of West Virginia.

Wow, we had several tordanos yesterday, with snow, rain, hail and wind of course.
One came down and ran a 100 yard path less than half a mile from my house.
Lord kept us safe though.

Trees were the only victims.

Weird I’m in Marietta and we got snow but none stuck. It was 70 degrees 3-4 days ago. Classic Georgia winter.

Yeah, my pond flooded, too! And for the first time, I had surface water pour into my pond. It’s slowly clearing up.

That second photo sure looks awesome! We got hit hard in the Eastern Townships of Québec, a real dangerous Friday drive home.
