Got permission to collect this poor Forsythia middle of October last year. I didn't think it will make it through the winter but luckily this winter was unseasonable mild. It even produced a couple flowers!

This was a bad year for quince - dunno why. These Toyo nishiki blossoms were as good as I got and nearly all that I got.

My crabapple, the variety is called “Snowdrift”. I have the same in my front yard, about ten feet tall, but it’s nowhere near blooming yet.

Very intersting: most apple trees have at least a hint of pink, this one that I had never heard before is immaculate, like cherry trees.

Very nice cultivar.

This one has pink on the nascent blossom buds, but they do open as pure white.
