Flowers 2018

A few more, Magnolia Fiscati is first. It goes by a different name now, damn botanists, we just call it a banana shrub around here in the Heart of Dixie. It has a very sweet smell, much like, well, bananas, and in the morning and evenings when the air is still it fills the back yard with the scent.

Some more camellia shots, these are all from the same plant. I have counted at least five different variations of flower on this bush. The flowers are not as big as last year, I think it was the last two hard freezes we got. I am surprised that it bloomed at all, usually a freeze will cause all of the buds to fall off.

In full bloom. The improved toyonishiki from Brent. My blooms are a third the size of regular TN. I wonder if they get bigger. Will wait and see I guess unless someone could tell me. I consider this more pink than the red I sometimes see in toyonishiki, but it's been mostly cloudy.

TP, this one looks lovely. Looks like it only has one color bloom?

Ok, as those are almost done, this lovely lady is getting ready. I really love this one, so many variations on the flowers, last year, I think I counted 10.

The stand was made for me by a good friend and fellow club member, Leo Fortner, my dad gave him an old table made of cherry that belonged to my great grandmother and her used some of the wood to make this stand. I will be forever greatful.

Something about these, just SO pretty. I am for sure going to look for one. I'll probably kill it, but wouldn't be the first time I killed something. Thanks so much for showing what's possible. Not to diminish the others, they are all beautiful.

I wish there was a Love option. Like isn't enough for something like that.

Nah, you can do it, these are the easiest migraine to grow.
