Aren’t these kind of early? Either way, you’re making me want to jump on the azalea train again...

I need a nice Satsuki.

One more from today, a satsuki called Myuki, I got it in a plant trade with @Eric Group . It is throwing out a few random flowers, there is more red on the white this year, which is nice.

You will likely get a few solid pink blooms in there as well as it matures. Still have the one you sent me- ever get any clarity on a variety name?

I hope I do have some red! It is blooming quite early this year.

I never did find out the name on the one I sent you, but still trying...

Wow,does Poinsettia just grow naturally in San Diego? They Hardy?
I am so used to seeing them around here during the holidays and grown in hot houses.
They do well here. Not really planted as a landscaping plant though. (I don’t think anyone thinks of them that way anymore. Just a plant you get for Christmas, then throw away)
I remember as a kid my grandmother had a few in the yard about 10ft tall. The one in the photo is 3 or 4 years old in a pot. Since I was fertilizing my trees a lot I added it into the mix.
