Well, my Rose of Sharon decided it's time to bloom:



A short-lived but beautiful flower indeed.

I was excited to see my first year tropical, Thunbergia mysorensis bloom! Native to India but we first saw then forming hanging roofs of flowers in a garden in Costa Rica.

I love fuchsia, I get a couple every spring.

This was labeled Chaenomeles speciosa, acquired in June, bare rooted and repotted in July and now it's blooming for the first time.

Do any of you have any jacaranda? I was given a big seed pod, and sprouted a bunch this spring. I have read that they tend to not want to bloom in containers. Would love if anyone could share some experience, and make suggestions.

I apologize for taking so long, but I just looked through all of your pictures tonight. You have some beautiful flowers! I am SO jealous. Gardenias were my moms favorite. I bought 2 small ones from Cass this summer, So hoping I can keep them alive long enough to bloom. You have some really beautiful trees.

Whats the first one?

Some kind of Aquilegia Canadensis, I think.
It it a perennial that the previous homeowner planted.
These flowers hybridize easily, so there are many different looks.

Here's the only other pic I took of them this year. You can see the tube like, hook shaped cups it has...
And I swear, the color changes a bit each year.
