Tidal Bonsai
Omono
I started this tree last season from a nursery JBP. Three feet was cut off the top, and it was left to grow the rest of the season. The rootball was left mostly untouched, and there was a large crossing root that had to be fixed.
Since the root crossed, and dove to the inside of the rootball, I figured this was as good a time as any to try half bare-rooting!
I also took care of a thick horizontal root that would only thwart my efforts in the long run!
Once it recovers, I need to clean needles, and pick solid pieces to grow out.
