Is it just me are do these things grow really really REALLY sloooow.. i have three and all I got last year was one little branch on each tree just about.. not even sure if anyone is still looking at this post but I have a Nak for finding interesting Material that is Rarely used..

Mine grows realy well @MMJNICE
But i think its only one or max two flushes a year.
They do backbud realy well and the leaves grow in clusters so when pruning go ajways back to two leaves i always remove the leaves growing down and up and then select a left and right to keep feedback heavily and mine is in a full sun spot

Wooden box fell apart so ill do a emergency repot tonight and then a propper repot in spring

Anazed how flat and fine root system this one has its nicely flaired around.
I combed out the sides a little and removed the bottom wood from the rootmass as it was grown stuck in there.

Ive Put soil in the pot tree on top filled in the sides and added a small layer on top of that.
Since it lost some roots ive pruned it back hard and now put it in a spot with one or two hours morning sun and rest of day shade.
Its a healthy tree and evergreen so i think it will be just fine!

Nice work getting all that thick growth and the root System looks really flat as well. I've been getting some kinda scaring on my leaves kinda looks like scale but I think it's coming from the tree and whatever it is it's not a bug. But since I Commented it's been pretty much a new growing season and to my Surprise my two tree grew pretty vigorously. I guess after the repot last it needed two year to Grow some new roots cuz it went crazy this year. Some much root growth it completely and fully Filled the pot. I'll post some pictures of one of the trees in question. It's to the Semi- cascade tree in the picture. It's fairly old from what I can gather because the lower trunk had a twin that I cut off about the same thickness as the trunk, It had 15 or so rings. So maybe up to 15 to 30 years old. 20240819_031619.jpg

Nice, they heal scars but slowely.
If you want to wire the branches give them movement while still green.
I am trying to clip and grow on mine.

So i pruned it back hard start of september and now i see buds apearing on allot of places on the tree.
I said i was going to clip and grow but got some wires in and likely end up wireing everything later 20241025_121334.jpg20241025_121353.jpg20241025_121319.jpg

I kinda find it weird that they heal so slowly because my burning bushes heal very quickly and seem to have zero problems closing basic trunk chops in one growing season. Now the wood is ridiculously soft but they heal fast. These trees have more in common then differences i would think. I'll post the other tree soon, and some close ups of the blistering on the leaves that look so off putting or just plain yucky looking. It's starting to over run the leaves the older the leaves get.

So, i had put it in this terracotta pot in fall, yesterday i did a full on repot and that nebari is real starting to come allong.
Again did a prety hard root job but the past has proven me it will be fine!
I choose a white glazed pot it fits perfect and also i like the color combo with the foliage and reddish tint of the bark.

Tree shows it was time.
