As Coh noted, with conifers, it can take months for damage or death to become apparent. Staying green is good but does not mean the tree will survive and grow. New growth is a good sign, but still doesn't mean the tree will survive. If the tree remains green through the winter and starts growing next spring, it has a good chance. If the green begins to fade to yellow then brown......and there's nothing you can do about it now...patience.
