Not much to look at, but here goes anyway. I was mowing the lawn last summer and i spotted this weed, so I dug it up and stuck it in a pot. In the fall I plopped it in this shallow pot i had empty.

"I love local species. I encourage their use. I have many myself. However, I try to understand WHY they do what they do and how they do it. Understanding them on a deeper level can help greatly when trying to adapt them to bonsai culture. THey're all hardly the same. ERC is far too quirky and unstable as bonsai material, IMO "

Probably what the Japanese first said about Hinoki Cypress.

I say yes to trying a challenging Tree like this, go for it.. (Besides I have several in my collection some already over 10yrs)
