So, last week, a good friend of mine messaged me at work and asked me if I had voted yet. Early voting has been quite active in GA and he had voted weeks ago. I told him I hadn't and planned to do so on election day. To make a long story short, he knew I despised Hillary, but wanted me to vote for her to prevent Trump from winning, even though he knew I have distinct libertarian leanings and was planning to vote 3rd party. He even said he was attempting to shame me- his words- into voting for Clinton. I ended that conversation quickly and haven't spoken to him since.

This was the year but the 3rd parties never had a shot because of the death grip the main 2 parties have on the process and the election is certainly rigged in that regard. If the number of people truly dissatisfied with Trump or Clinton were to vote for a 3rd party candidate, neither would reach 270 electoral, assuming the electors vote according to the popular vote...kind of a big assumption I guess but there it is. Who knows, one of the third party candidates could even win the popular vote.

I can't wait for this mess of an election to end...
