Nah. It came to YOU from California. That pot is cheap Chinese (and probably with lot of lead in the glaze -- which is immaterial since it is undoubtedly sealed in with the glaze).

Once the fall color is spent. They are grown for fall color after all. Then yes...a trimming. Though it had received one awhile back actually. Sacrifice vines at base of trunk I'm considering doing away with though.
