More binge bargain shopping. This neat little shrub is yet another drought and heat tolerant species that is not used for bonsai. Hard to pass up at $5.00 for a 5 gal shub and this one was also one of my choices as my contest tree. I am beginning to work toward finding species that will work well with water shortages. Who knows, it may be important sometime soon.

This little tree has small leaves and pretty white flowers which contrast really well against the early black stems. The wood from these trees is exceedingly hard and it will not bend once lignified. However if you wire when young I know from past trees that you can shape them.

Gonna be a busy summer!

3 down 7? to go..... Damn!

We've waited long enough.

Well I might have mentioned that the main enemy of my bonsai is depression... Let's just say I'm starting over, again...

It's not something I'm verry familiar with
But it's a multi stemmed shrub hardy to around 20 F

In the borage family I think.

I really don't see any reason they wouldn't work as a bonsai. Only one way to know for sure.
