I should get a few of these. Dont have any JBP.
Any updates? Interested in 6 or 8 JBP seedlings or bettwr.Hello,everyone.It is Curtis and I have created an Ebay Store CM BONSAI.
There will not be pictures till’ this evening when I get home.
Hope everything sells.I have a couple hundred JBP seedling cuttings for sale.
Will be devising a way for you to message me after your purchase when safe for you to grow outside so they can go right into growing....any cold storage at this time would probably shock them as they have been growing about 4 months or so extended first season.
No pictures till tonight so search will not bring anything up on ebay yet.
Pines look great!......only kept ones with full rooting all the way around grown in Rootpouch pots.
Should be dense.Best to leave potting till next season, but can put slices in pouches and slip pit for this first season.I pesonally would not stress full transplant unless you have a greenhouse or something.
Price will vary.Slightly more for ones that have pheonominal low branching some have as many as 8 branches right from roots!
Here are random pictures from this season not recent...some are getting big....ship priority mail usps.
All hydroponically grown in perlite.Legal shipping with USDA.
Coming along…….I had to get a Split Air Conditioner……the growhouse took on some heat…growth slowed a bit…..could only co2 fertilize for half the light cycle!?!?!?!?*^#%^*+Any updates? Interested in 6 or 8 JBP seedlings or bettwr.
I have a regular buyer in Oregon…..they will actually ship just fine. It'll get fried in the mail for awhile me thinks. 100 here now.
HA! Max temp is much higher, at least for mine. Currently 115! Going to bring them in, getting hotter and that's just going to kill them.Coming along…….I had to get a Split Air Conditioner……the growhouse took on some heat…growth slowed a bit…..could only co2 fertilize for half the light cycle!?!?!?!?*^#%^*+
But,at any rate this Split Ac unit is getting delivered thursday and I will install it immediately to get the much need steady and stable grow environment that fuels the phoenominal growth that is really possible.
I just kept telling myself they are Japanese Black Pine and they can deal with 94f temps, but it was discouraging because I know that 84 f really is the max grow temperature…..that is with co2 fertilization too.
They are all stable though…….the mature needles are just popping out…….the heat has slowed them down a bit though……..that will all be remedied thursday and we’ll get back into the super-growth!
So excited ……..These are AC without ducted window ports,so they maintain a sealed co2 fertilized grow environment while keeping temperature correct!! Can plug into a regular wall outlet if 12000 btu or less and especially have isolated the outlets in your home to there corresponding breakers in the electrical panal…..then you know your not overloading the breaker over 15 amps ( I’m so not an electrician).
I plug it into a gfci outlet without any other appliance plugged into it almost……this Split AC is less amps than the portable AC that I was using.
The good news is the Pines will just keep coming as I do not stop growing these now…..its a year round thing here on out.
They have survived!!!
Will be in August.

Yea I’m finding this out today……or maybe from not vacuming the lines……so before any damage I turned on the portable ac that I was using and just making do……I will venture into the split ac scene another day.Just remember that square footage is rated for standard home/office temps. You might need something with a higher btu to effectively cool greenhouse spaces.
For a little bit more you could probably have found someone to install a commercial grade heat pump which could do cooling and heating to really maintain temp.
Certainly!!Do you ship to California?

I believe they will be ok….
Winter crops I do not even need an ac!!!
Yea no vacuum……..I shut it down 2 hours later after firing it up and put my old portable ac in there and then dropped co2 fertilization to 600 ppm with a temp of 86 f which is quite doable……..When I get money in Spring I will call an experienced tech in……otherwise winter grows……I’m starting a job here soon though. Not enough cooling, eh? Did you check if the system is working properly by measuring air temp at the inlet (return) and outlet (supply). You should have a difference of between 15 and 18 degrees if the equipment is operating properly (delta-t). If there is no significant change in temp overall, but you have a reasonably difference between inlet and outlet, unit is undersized. Also humidity could be playing a factor. Humid air holds heat and is more difficult to cool.
If you didnt vacuum the refrigerant lines, and there is moisture or contaminant, you could seriously damage the compressor or clog the orifice in the txv valve. When we install commercially, we vacuum refrigerant linesets and acr piping three times to ensure there is no dirt or moisture. Im guessing this system came with a filter drier built in?
Anyway. Hope it works enough to give some cooling to where you need it.
Thanks!this is looking very nice! eventually I'll grab a pine pre-bonsai and I think you're at the top of my list.
That's amazing!ITS GOING TO BE AN AUTUMN SALE
I aplologize for the delay. The overheating issue was very unexpected and I brought them out into the sun to save them…….
This will make them nice though…..I have had spectacular results this way…..co2 is not totally needed.
I have more growing now ,but in lite co2 fertilization since having to run an portable ac all the time……at least they will be ready to grow all winter though in higher co2 since no ac is needed during winter.
Thanks for patience.
By Autumn I will have nearly 400 ready and they will be good…….sunshine really gets these going.
Just look at the results of mainly outdoor grown seedlings!!!
In first season!!
My apologies agin……..I have 400 of them soaking in the sunshine now and improvement was instantaneous.
I don’t think anyone is dissapointed as I am though……all because of an ac???
This will be good…….a winter crop and then a good air-conditioner for a summer crop.
Looking awesome! I see coffee is your secret ingredient lolITS GOING TO BE AN AUTUMN SALE
