I have a 3 trunk in development. I like this one as is. It has a charm that removing the 4th trunk would ruin.
Just my opinion, but that's my stand. If this had been just the 3 trunks, I may have passed it by. In time, I think that all 4 can work together.

I like it just as it is. Don't worry about the even number! It might be a problem with four similarly-sized trunks, but with the one smaller trunk, it is almost a combination of three and one--both odd numbers! (do you like the rationalization?)

I like this clump. I think 4 trunks is fine. I would leave it that way until you can convince yourself sacrificing the fourth is what you want. Stick to your guns, in other words. Beautiful little clump!

Thanks all, I don't see myself loosing that trunk anytime soon, if ever. I am a big fan of hornbeams too Dan. This one is a bit easier to move around than my bigger one!

I think the tree is balanced as it is, once the smaller trunk get some height, I don't see myself changing it so much.

Either the first or the third table but not the second one. I think that I would like the third more if it was smaller.

Table one with colour and feet of the last one. Accent is to high for me. Colour of the accent pot too equal with the pot, the slab it's on, what is it? Depends on how wide you can make your display. I do like the tree very much.

That's funny Dirk, I wish it could be that easy, that interchangeable parts... I don't know how wide the display can be. There is a thread called which table that shows other accent if you take a look at that. The slab thing is rock. Better pics of that on the other thread.
