It is out of hunting season (Oct-Feb). I am to trap, relocate, discourage them as much as I can.

These are so vigorous it is hard to believe some folks find ways to kill them, but a rabbit can!

I have a couple that were burned in the field. I collected them and planted them in my grow bed. After a long while, they finally have some leaves and the rabbits ate them all. I'm not concerned with the other Chinese elms for they will grow back. These may be on their last leg with depleted energy reserves. I still hope they recover.
