You are correct about this. I realized, after I made my last comment about the tape, that I had not even commented on this beautiful tree and the work. It is a very nice design. At some point, a more overall triangular shape will really make this tree pop. Right now the silhouette is square shaped. However, trees go through so many changes. I am sure that this tree will only get better and better.

Thank Rob,
I have not been doing bonsai that long but really pay attention on what a person does with the material he/she starts with. Googled every juniper name I know with the image preference just to gain ideas. The only way out was a major bend which I was a bit afraid snapping the branch. I did break one branch but had to work around that (branch had a weak spot) to fill in the space on the left. I think it will sure change as time goes by but really happy how it turned out.
Will work towards a triangle shape.

I don't get the tape. To me it's kind of ugly and plastic looking, at least with raffia it looks natural. I've done some crazy bends and have never used or needed anything other then raffia to wrap a trunk or branch. I guess the one benefit is it might be quicker to apply.

Agreed! Tape might be convenient, but boy is it ugly.
