hopefully this is the right spot.

I got this one last spring and pruned it, left it mostly as it was- used a little wire but not much.

This is the second time I have worked on it.

Before and after

I would get rid of the left trunk all together, it has no movement. Also, when you wire the branches you want to have movement in them not just a straight branch coming off the trunk (in red). Nice little beginning though.

Might be a little better if a pic, but yes the left has almost no movement- my big hesitation has been that the main one has pretty much nothing on that side

You may as well torque the shit out of that left trunk see if you can match the bend. If it breaks...

The dead roots will slip out easier next spring!

I wonder if you can't put a block at the top...grey.
Ans crank em in...yellow.aviary-image-1461016810258.jpeg
But protect the bark well.
I think That little bit of lower on the left side will make it look better too.

Are the bottom branches temporary?

I'm starting to think you should nemd it safe and keep it.

Nemd means Bend in Grey.

That red one was wired the first time, I unwired and it went back up alittle so I put it back down.
I think I need a different size wire cause that one will hold it there but I can't bend movement into it

I like the torque idea, I'll do that before removing it to see. I don't know about the lower branches. They were there so I wired em to see how it looked and just left em till I got some advice

I would just throw a guy wire in that one.

Ditch em after a few years.

Don't know what you mean? What did I get? Did I almost win a prize?

The video is alright, but the weeds we have here like to grown in moss and really like sphagnum.

Will do, looks like hell with all the wires- I hotta practice on that

Good work! Keep an eye on it. Boxwood are known as slow growers but that wire will bite into the bark much faster than you would think.

Yeah, slow growers with very thin, easily damageable bark. I try to use guy wires on them wherever possible for that reason.

This is how it sits, is that color normal? It seems to have come with the colder weather, just wasn't sure if it meant anything
