This boxwood seems healthy overall but the leaves on the very end of new branches are turning yellow and dying, despite the branch itself being healthy. Other boxwoods treated the same do not show this issue. Is this an issue with water or fertilizer or something else?

Pretty sure it's a combination of dense roots and pond basket.

Happened to me in here somewhere.

Boxwood by nature, like azaleas and hollies, have dense root systems. I have boxwood in grow boxes, nursery pots and pond baskets.
I am pretty certain that this plant dried out at some point. This can of course be exacerbated by the open mesh of a pond basket, but would not have happened without a lack of water. The pond basket did not cause the problem. I have several azaleas in pond basket and my grow mix is blended to address this concern. They have grown very well for me.
