Bonsai Classifieds on Facebook is a Joke !!!

I think I am about to leave the group solely because of him. There is a lot of great stuff for sale on there, but Mark is really in the wrong and is just being stubborn as well as using his position as the page creator to garner sympathy towards his side. One of the absolute requirements to run a page like that is to be levelheaded, mature, and able to admit when you're wrong.

He has the power in that arena and as they say...absolute power corrupt absolutely.

I agree with most...it is the member's loss because of whatever reason, yours because you lost a vending venue. Everyone lost (including Mark because of the outfall).

Be the bigger man. Mark is in the wrong but apparently you rubbed him the wrong way(not your fault) but what's done is done. It's a great resource, it's fun, on and on. Come back say you're sorry for coming off wrong and see if you can work it out. Enough people have told him that the scrolls are bonsai appropriate to the point that I'm sure he'll never make that mistake again

I think you missed the point. Had you removed the items as per the creators request and discussed with him privately I'm sure the outcome could be different. But when you purposely disregard the page creators request, well then you get booted. The creator does it for free on his own time for bonsai folks. Whether he is right or wrong, honor his request and take it private to discuss. What you shouldn't do is come to b-nut and trash the page.

It's a real head-scratcher to me. Scrolls not being bonsai related? I know that Stacey can be opinionated and can rub folks the wrong way. But, I just can't see where he's done anything wrong here. His response wasn't out of line. Then - boom - delete/ban.

For what it's worth, I really like that FB page. Lots of cool, one-of-a-kind stuff. I just hope it's still around when I have some money to spend...

Ed...possibly, at one point he may not have known. But, an easy google search could have cleared this up. With as many people stating scrolls are bonsai...he then claims it was for his mouth. After being called for it. I think...there is more to this than meets the eye. We may never really know who or why this all started.

Personally...I don't see where your at fault. But do as you feel you need to do. I personally would wipe my hands of him and his group. (No offense to those who go there. I just have no time or patience for how this went down. A google search is not difficult to do.)

It is an interesting group... Everything from nice collected material to 'Japanese Garden bonsais'. I am surprised that the scrolls were not considered 'bonsai' enough.

So, I posted some scrolls up for auction at Bonsai Classifieds on
Facebook, last week and this week. I even sold one last week.
I was now just notified that I had to remove my scroll cause they
are not Bonsai ??? I explained to Mark Goodman that I sell these
at Bonsai conventions all the time, to folks who use them in their
display of Bonsai. I ask how are these not any more bonsai then
a stand, a slab, and accent pot, accent plant or a rock...

Perhaps Mark Goodman and fellow facebook fans are not as informed
as they think they are ??? Sad part is that I was for the most part only
trying to help contribute, and help build the quality of his site.

Go to my page Bonsai Swap Meet. I've modified my rules to allow for cash sales of those things that Mark prefers not to be on the classifieds...

Just wanted to let folks know here that I have since personally contacted Mark Goodman
to apologize for the way things went down. I personally don't think I was in the wrong,
as I am sure he doesn't either. However, I think we are both in an agreement that it could
of been handled better.
