Hey all
So I was interested in some thoughts re my Birds Nest spruce bonsai. I bought this tree about 1.5 yrs ago in the PNW, it's been in Southern CA since that time. Last year the tree did really well until this spring when the needles tended to get brownish spots, which subsequently seemed to grow and involve the entire leaf. There have been areas of new green sprouting but even these areas have seemed to then develop the yellowish brown discoloration. Some pines have fallen off but as well. This tree was re-planted in April, I use a 3-3-3 fertilizer 3-4 weeks and try to never let the tree fully dry out. It's outside and gets direct sun from ~9am-noon. Any thoughts re mites, fungus, other ideas would be much appreciated!
