Another pyracantha

Currently mine is 26 inches tall
26 inch canopy spread and the trunk is 9 inches across above the soil.
Pot is 22"x 18"x 5"
Its only been in this pot since it was dug and most of the good part is still underground. Should be able to expose a 14 inch nebari when the time is ripe.

Close...mine is about 7" across the trunks, 23" high, 25" wide, and worked down into a 19x4" pot...

Great tree smoke!... And Brian! Wait... Those are two different trees? Twins for real!

Nice man, i would love to have seen the struggle (more pics) between the large uncollected bush and the stump. I too got permission to not remove but airlayer a simular plant, it has nice thick branches (even in the top). It will be fantastic, i love bonsai and plants.

I did more work on this thorny bastard today. Working over branches to give more definition and wired many to get them where I need them. canopy on right is just about the right size and will maintain at current size. Canopy on the left is about the right height but still beed more branching to complete. Another couple years will really make this tree shine. Thec anopies will be rounded more and the carving today on the left trunk will be more seasoned.

Pretty good, but I'm biased toward TT pyracanthas. Mine tends to put all energy to berry production if I leave them on, and the second I remove them, the tree starts throwing shoots again. Actually worked on mine over the weekend and didn't draw blood once!

What the Hell is a TT pyracantha. I cut off seven clumps of berries while pruning but left about six or seven on. It grows well with them or without them. I got stuck twice enough to bleed a little.

Twin Trunk.
It's a good day of bonsai when you don't need a transfusion.

TT, twin trunk, who would a thought...
I gave blood Thursday so I don't have much to lose. Helping my fellow man here. I run into him on occasion at emergency calls. He is up and has taken a few steps. I thought the worst would happen. He went thru Hell and lived to talk about it.

Am I the only one that sees the alien in the middle with his arms around both trees?

You shoud have seen him before I cut his nose off.003.JPG

Yeah that's shaping right up, nice small leaves too. I love twins, and gnarly ones like this are very up my alley.
