Acer palmatum Katsura (5 trunks from cutting)

thanks !
No, the original wood block is still under the tree.. I changed the lighting of the pic so that you can see it perfectly ->

after cutting the roots : the wood block is still here : the trees are still fixed on it so i have no interest in trying to unhook them ->

Maybe one day, this wood block will naturally disintegrate so i will be able to remove it easilly.
Thanks for the clarification. Going back to the beginning of this thread and looking at the progress in just 4 years, I think the result is amazing and must be encouraging to anyone who would start with seedlings using similar methods. Thanks for sharing it, Clem.
Greetings.

thank you ! yes JM & some cultivars are definitly very interesting for Bonsai : small leaves, good and fine ramifications, good thickening of the trunk and branches, easy cultivation, interesting changes during the year (no leaves in winter, spring, summer, autumn colors) etc etc. For me JM is easily in the top10 of my favorite species.. A must have if the climate makes its cultivation possible. 👍

@clem Your progression threads are really mesmerizing. Thank you for sharing such detailed updates on a regular basis -- it's really inspiring to see how much progress you are able to make in relatively short periods of time!

I'm glad you like them and i'll show the evolution of my other JM too. Not everyone evolves so well 😅
