I'm glad you're up and running again. I've been waiting to tell you how much I enjoyed your demo.
(and I saw a pot I wanted real bad but.........)

Graydon posted a plethora of pictures of this maple and some of the side veiws show movement in the trunk. I'm curious as to how you chose the straight side as your front.

I chose the side that best showed the rootbase. There was really only one good view of the rootbase.
It was not very good in the rear so from either side you saw a lacking taper.
