Very good to know, thanks! Am guessing much of my bigger ones would never heal-over, and will require creative woodworking instead.. There's some spots I'm considering putting 'pre-cuts' into now, to sever 'veins' now for future removals (hard to explain w/o being able to show/draw it...will post pics if I do it!)
