Thanks a ton! Two quick follow-ups.
  • What do you fertilize with? Do they benefit from foliar feeding?
  • What's the latest you'd prune? I haven't pruned at all this year and I'm wondering if it's too late. It's growing incredibly well so far.

Nice tree, Cedars are fun as they can develop nice and fast. I fertilize my trees in training pots with regular liquid chemical fertilizer. I fertilize my stuff in pots with organic only. For pruning I stop sometime around August 1 but I would stop major pruning work sometime around July 4th.

Overtime you might choose to cut out the straight section near the top.
