That place has been there a LONG time! I was there in the late 70's, about an hour and a half north of LA "if" the memory is correct. I was a "big" eater back then and they filled me up

That was back when airfare was affordable, puddle jumpers were 30ish back then, probably over a 100 today. I had to attend some training/certification sessions in both places back to back so it was Company paid.

In the short couple of weeks I spent in those areas I am happy I did no driving there. I was referring to a "puddle jumper" flight and a quick Cab ride Honestly it really wasn't because I thought driving was bad, I just enjoyed seeing new places and things without driving. Oceanside in CA is breath taking
