11 trees equal 1

Would you consider it a good idea to put it in a larger grow box to help the fusing? Or it isn't needed?
Any help on this one? I just got 1 1.5" ficus, a 0,5" and like 10 recently rooted cuttings. It is mid summer and I was thinking of repotting all together in a grow box and letting them grow out for 4-5 years together, or should I just let them be for now?

Sorry, just now seen this post...
When combining multiple trees really the biggest issue is getting them all to be able to fit together and in tight. Roots are always an issue and always seem to be in the way.
Not sure if you have done anything yet, but sooner you are able to get the all growing together in the same pot, and side by side as one unit, the better. If possible, put them in the ground, always faster... if not, be careful as to not have to deep of a grow box. Roots rot easily.

Was working on this tree some more tonight, and was a concerned on where exactly I should take it, so I did a virt to help me nail down a path forward. Really like how it looks, so tomorrow night will see how and if I can easily make the changes to the tree... Believe I can.

looking nice!
This thread has my expectations high for my project! Too bad I don't live in a more tropical place.

This is perhaps assembled from the most ridiculed of trees--the omni-present mallsai;
however, I like it a lot. The pot? I would like to know when you obtained it. With that
info, when my Acme Time-slip-o-matic comes in, I can go back and beat you to it.
Beautiful work with what everyone calls shyte. Pity some don't see that shyte can be
so much more with effort and talent applied. Lovely work as usual.

Thanks everyone for the vote of confidence!
Will post a picture when I am finished.

I like the refined crown in your virt, but I'm really missing the lower left and right side branches that the tree currently has. I think they add to the scale of the tree and give it a more "old banyan" look. Please keep them!

Thanks for the reply!
I did the virt well after midnight last night and liked the clean tight look... having said this... and now looking at it with fresh eyes, I would have to agree with you.

I think the bottom branches actually gives the tree a more natural look... by this I mean not so clean. I also think these two branches help point back towards the negative space within the middle of the tree. Which defines the overall composition as two trees.
