Thanks Leo- This tree was started 15 years ago from one of a few cuttings taken from a neighbors garden. He didn't even know it was a chamaecyparis let alone the cultivar. So no tags to begin with.

Im sure its not, really soft foliage. I had some foeminas which I had to get rid of. needle junipers give me an allergic reaction when i work with them.

Don't really "need to know" just interested.

close but not quite the same. I have a baby blue also the foliage on this one is less blue and tighter. they are growing with the same conditions so its not light, soil or watering. clipped a piece of the baby blue and you can see the difference.

I have been working on this tree for over a decade and have yet to find out what cultivar of Chamaecyparis it is.

I use shorter duration but at least two emitters as birds and squirrels occasionally knock them out of the pots

actually you have too many branches at that junction. The branch is also growing almost vertically and is crossing in front of other branches.

I would remove the lowest branch also.

I've also tried it with 6 trees, 3 of which were treated and saw no difference.

definitely boulevard cypress. I have one, its been outside every winter for the past 7 or 8 years. I'm in central NJ and just have it protected from wind.

If the eat squirrels I want to buy a few from you!

cover everything but the door with bubble wrap. I had a single wall greenhouse in the past.. I covered it and was easily able to keep the temps up and saved on the electric bill

really sorry to see this. I know how it feels. I had a tree come down and smash my work area and one of my benches in october 2016. lost 4 trees.

it's a pair of magnet strips. one of the very few things i recommend getting from Harbor Fright tools. they cost about $5.

It was a wreck last October, a neighbors tree fell on my previous work area. Since I spend so much time out there I decided to set it up comfortably.
