    Small Korean Hornbeam

I thought I had thread for this guy, but it was always embedded in my shohin threads. So here's a spring shot of this little guy, he's a keeper... Last of the shohin, but not going anywhere...

    Dark pink ume

Picked up a medium sized project tree, I've been missing having ume. I really always have loved the dark pink ones, so this was an easy one to go for. It's only about 12"tall so good start on a decent size base. Already did a repot and lots of stub cutting and cleaning up and some small bits...

    One for Carol

This is my 5 year azalea contest tree. I was never able to keep up with updates so it's no longer eligible for that, but as I'm selling all my smalls this spring, this one just popped into my head as a perfect thing for @Carol 83 . It's purple (pinkish but still purple) flowers would be...

I have two remaining smalls to send to a new home, first up is a Japanese Crabapple. This tree is a twisty little guy and is leafing and budding up to bloom right now. The blooms are a white flower. As you can see from the 1 fruit that is still hanging out from last season the fruit is...

    Kiyohime maple

This is a tree I won in a one question contest over on FB, years ago from M. Comstock as a stick in a pot. It has been a fun thing to grow out, it's starting to shape up a bit. I don't have any real old photos as I didn't photograph raw sticks then. But I found one from early on. Just repotted...

    A snake bark maple clump

I am working on doing better documentation, and do use my threads to help with that. I never made one for this clump so starting that now. First photo from 2019 when I got it. Was sold to me as an amur, but it's snake bark maple, such cool striped bark, and great fall color. Some years are...

    JWP for sale

I have a very nice Chuhin sized JWP that was to be part of a sale package, and for whatever reason this buyer is not moving forward with it. So I'm offering it up here. Please feel free to ask for more information if interested. I'm looking to renovate my summer bench area this year so I'm...

    Judy's spring pot sale!

Here are three to start off, I'm not sure if I'll have much more this spring, maybe a couple. The two glazed are both quite amazing pots, but since I stopped growing shohin, I just don't have a use for them. Koyo 4 1/4" x 2 1/2" $235 plus shipping this one is 4 1/4" x 2 1/2 it is a very...

    Japanese Boxwood

I have had this tree for quite some time, but never started a thread about it. I think I got it in 2019, so for boxwood, it's developed relatively fast. Japanese are quicker than the other types of boxwood. This last summer the tree put on flowers and fruits for the first time. I'm wondering...

    European Red Beech part 3...

This is a tree I had for many years that was part of a trade with @MACH5 years ago. I missed the tree and did find a Eu (standard) Beech that is much the same flavor. I am happy to have struck a trade with Sergio for this tree coming back to me and couldn't be happier with the way the tree has...

Candle with double candle growing at tip, what to do with this?

I have a JWP that is doing very well and is vigorous now that it's been worked out of old bad soil. This year it's got several candles that have double candles growing off the tip. I imagine I should just cut this candle as it's very strong, but I've not seen this before. Thoughts?

    Hydrofarm lighting units for sale

I'm switching out my greenhouse lighting and now have 12 hydrofarm units that started out with Fluorescent bulbs, but I changed them out for corn LED bulbs. I have one other unit that is still a hydrofarm (agrobrite same thing) that doesn't have the same hood style or hammered reflector. I would...

Who is using LED grow panels?

Looking to maybe replace my lighting setup in the greenhouse as seems like they need to be under lights longer each year with the winters being shorter, but too much chance for freezing late as well. So I've been looking at panels, and other grow lights. I have currently a full ceiling of...

    Catching up...early leaves...

Hi All, I've been very absent, and have missed the forum... I am hoping that I can be a regular here again, my life is getting back on track and I'm being able to catch up on tree work. Lots of early leafing and repotting of all but the Satsuki already. Here's some photos of some of the trees...

    Big Gekko

The first bud just opened on this Gekko that I acquired last year, can't wait to see it full. The full bloom pic is from the seller from the year before, had to change the pot as the lovely Koyo it was in previously broke during shipping. The pot I moved it to is a Gyouzan, and is also a...

    Selling some nice pots

Hi all, as usual I like to post the pots I'm selling here at a lower price than I'll ask over on FB if there are no takers here. All shipping would be on the buyer at cost, no packaging charges as I've seen people start to charge (sheesh) These are some very nice pots all are in top condition...

Here we go ready or not!

The early trees are starting to show green on the buds, so guess it's time to call winter over for the most part. I'll be able to keep them happy under the lights in the greenhouse until spring actually arrives. Earlier than normal, but expected with this strange non winter we had. First photo...

    ethical seller/buyer question

Wondering what others think of a situation where a buyer approaches you to find a tree that they want to purchase, then back out after several months of you the seller holding the tree for them. I don't like taking the $$ for a tree I'm holding just in case there is a health problem that occurs...
