I've put some of this up on other social media... Made some noble efforts to get some trees repotted this spring. This one didn't happen. Just couldn't find a pot that clicked for me so now it's on the "Pots to make" list. I've also been trying to get these "volunteers" relocated. This one however really caught my eye. A seedling form my prolific Chinese Elm Drake/Lacebark, its been whacked back and nipped numerous times in its short life just to remind it of its place in the world... It's been in here 3-4 years now, submerged through most of the growing season and now that I've taken a good look at it I may not. Mr. Tuebert believes they are now microrhyzally intertwined and should stay. Visually they complement each other even though habitat-wise its an unlikely pairing.

I think even if I do ultimately separate the two they'll always have bench space together since everybody deserves a friend.
