My manager bonus and my birthday weekend lined up perfectly with me getting a severe sinus infection so instead of partying with my friends I did what any rational newly 38 year old with lots of snot and pain would do. Bought a bunch of bonsai pots.
This one arrived today made by David George who posts on 99 cent bonsai Facebook group

Bought a bunch of pots at the PSBA Spring Sale on Sunday, including pots by Kokoro of Portland OR and Kandied Clay in the Seattle suburbs. Also bought a bunch of trees: Larch saplings for a planned forest (except I ended up with an even number :() and a very nice European hornbeam. Won a couple pots and a spruce in the raffle too!

Heard they are going out of business but not sure it's true.
I heard the same and read an article saying they will sell the land and once escrow closes they have a year to vacate. So far they haven’t made any announcements and are as busy as ever today which was nice to see.

these two unglazed tokoname pots from eBay— the small flower shaped one is reihou and the larger one a yamaaki kiln pot! I really love the classical proportions and the color in between red brown and purple that makes my mouth water imagining some rich chocolate cake
